Detectives have released a CCTV image of a man they need to identify following a theft from a Soho restaurant.

Police are investigating the theft of a bag that took place at around 18: 30hrs on Saturday, 16 July in the Kingly Street area. A number of items were reported stolen.

The female victim attended a central London police station after the theft.

Detectives have today released an image of a man they need to identify and speak with in connection with the theft.

Detective Constable Abbey Sandiford, from the Central West Command Unit which covers Westminster, said: “We need the public’s help to locate this man. A lot of valuable items were taken in this theft, leaving the victim understandably upset.

“We would also like to speak with anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen where this man went after he left the restaurant.”

No arrests have been made and enquiries continue.
