Detectives investigating a fatal collision in which the rider of an e-scooter died are appealing for witnesses.
Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at about 17: 40hrs on Sunday, 24 July to Manilla Street, E14 to reports of a collision involving a car and an e-scooter.
Officers and London’s Air Ambulance attended. The rider, a 32-year-old man, was taken to an east London hospital. Despite the efforts of medical staff he died at 20: 35hrs. His family has been informed.
The driver of the car, a blue Kia, failed to stop at the scene. This vehicle has now been located nearby.
Enquiries are ongoing to trace the driver.
